Here’s Me In A Nutshell…
My name is Jaide Eckersley (or as I am known in the classroom, Miss Jaide) and I am a passionate teacher of our next generation. I have been teaching Early Childhood Education for nearly ten years, with my experience including three different centers, a preschool age gymnastic instructor, and a swim instructor for young children. I have an Undergraduate Certificate in Early Childhood Education, as well as umpteen million hours of hands-on experience with these young ones.
And Here’s What I Am Trying To Achieve!
The purpose of this blog is to help bridge the ever growing gap I see developing between parents and teachers in the classroom. I strongly believe in the power of teamwork when it comes to Early Childhood Education, and the team-members I need to have the strongest communication with is, in my opinion, on the homefront! I want to help bring parents, guardians, aunties, uncles, whoever loves the child that they take care of, and me (as well as any other teachers, by association!) closer by working on establishing a more powerful medium of communication, eliminating existing misconceptions, and sharing the expertise I have accumulated over my time in the classroom. Whilst it may not always take a village to successfully raise a child, I believe it definitely helps!
